What a wonderful turn out,  Around 24 ladies ladies showed up at the Country Fair Restaurant, there were purple boa's on each chair and  a red hat pin for every one..  We brought the huge Red Basket of goodies along, and every one got to pick a prize out of it.  They provided us with a guitar player and the food was good, (once you got it).  All in  all, it was a fun day. We went over some of the events and changes we were going to do next year. Next year were doing the buddy month, this is where two or more ladies get together and pick a place to have the lunch, dinner and pick an event.  These months filled up very fast, and I'm sure were going to have some really different ideas.  (You will receive the list in you e-mail.) Please phone Carol and fill in your dates. This really helps appreciate the work and time that goes on putting on an event or arranging for meals. Grandma's Tea. Aug 9th. 2:00 to 5:00.  At my house. You can bring your grandchildren, (boys or girls) or niece's and nephews. let me know their ages and if you could bring a goodies for high tea, and glue guns, ribbons scissors, as we will be making hats for the girls and an item for the boys. there  will also be a fish tank and games.  This will be a high tea dress up. so I'm sure the kids will love it.  Penny  882 1280 I will be sending updated phone list around please check your name and see if it is correct or needs changing. We need to know how many ladies are wanting to go the Sock Hop on October the 9th.?  This  a 50's event in Chilliwack.  It is quite fun. $25.00 August 17th. will be our Chapters Garden Party, at my house. 3:00 to 7:00. This is, as usual a pot luck, Dress Casual as we will be playing games and there will be a surprise for us.  Please bring $5.00 for the surprise. Also if you can again bring scissors, glue guns and any ribbons, flowers and boys for hat decorating.  You may also bring your small pet.     You won't want to miss this one.  I need to have some one who will look after the  phone calls to people who don't have e-mail.  This is to keep them informed as to what is coming up.  There are only a few of them as most have friends who pass on the info.  Could you let me know about this ASP.       Also would like an activity convener, to coordinate the list of who is going,  and who needs rides,  (car pooling)  hotel rooms, (sharing) and to take the money, and send off a check to registrar for an event. Don't forget the FREE Speak Easy at the Cloverdale Legion on August 10th.  4:00.  (Just show up in your red hats outfits). Hi Ladies Each month will be hosted by different buddy-ladies.  Which month would you and your buddy like to be responsible for? You will make reservations for the lunch and dinner of the month, and plan a special event as well. September is hosted by Shirley Kerry with the River Boat Safari on the 21st, dinner on the 18th at the Swiss Chalet, Walnut Grove. October 5 and 23 hosts are Merle Lerner and Joan Craik. November 2 and 20 hosts are Frieda and Lucy. December 7 host is ______________  Christmas Party is planned for the 21st at Millies. January 4 and 22 hosts are Marlene H and Gloria K February 1 and 19 hosts are Dorothy, Dagmar, Kathy and Marg.  A notation of a Valentine Party was made? Needs clarification. March 1 and 19 host. Nominated is Marlene Metherel, need confirmation.
